This category includes Non-Canon Works referenced in the Bible. These include works with a direct mentioning or reference to a historical or literary work, that is not a part of the Bible itself. This category is only to be used for books mentioned not individual phrases or quotes not found in the Bible. Only literary works given by name may have their own article and be mentioned in this category (for example if there is evidence of using a non-Scriptural historical source that isn't explicitly mentioned it wouldn't be included).

Despite its categorization under "Books", articles in this category are not intended to represent them as "missing" or "additional" books of the Bible. Rather they help us verify the historical authenticity of the Bible and give literary insight into the authorship of many of the books.
